Kimmie Get Your Gun

Interesting assignments for me today covering two sports I have never been to before.

First, I went to the Royal Artillery Barracks for the Women's Skeet Shooting.  U.S. shooter Kim Rhode (pronounced Road-ee) became the first American to win a medal in an individual sport in five consecutive Olympics.  Not only did she win gold, she did it in record-setting fashion crushing the competition and missing just one target in one hundred!  Here she is looking calm, cool and collected during the final round.

After that, it was off to table tennis.  Someone in the news department profiled a player from Poland who was born with only one arm.  She was phenomenal to watch, using her right stump of an arm to hold the ball and wipe the sweat from her forehead.  Natalia Partyka (below in the red and black) ended up losing her match today, but she won over a lot of fans by just being able to compete.
