Bear Hug
The hotel I'm staying at is like a Hall of Fame of former athletes turned broadcasters and on-air personalities. Al Roker was sitting next to me at breakfast this morning. Speedskater Apolo Ohno who is doing some stories for dot-com rode the elevator with me yesterday. And look who I bumped into last night at the hotel bar! Nope, it's not the Lorax. It's Olympic gymnastics legend Bela Karolyi. You can't help but get giddy in the presence of this uber teddy bear. Even if you can never understand a word the man says :)

By the way, Bela is my wife Ann's favorite Olympic figure; like her parents, he's a Hungarian Romanian from Transylvania. We visited his hometown during our trip there.
